Q
& A

This
bronze I bought from a lady about 15 years ago when we had an Antique
shop.
It was her father's, who was a doctor and a patient either gave it as
a present or paid in lieu of money. There is no signature or any markings
on it. It is obviously a smoker's item.. There are 3 horns, which look
ivory, but all came out. Would love to know a rough date.
We
asked Morris Zimelstern
to respond:
It appears for the photo that this is an inkwell.
It maybe bronze, but from the colour on the photo it may be a white metal
with a bronzed finish. I was not able to see detail of the horns. Again
they may be ivory or faux ivory. Date & value is hard to say from
viewing these photos.
