Q & A

J. B. of Toronto, Ontario writes:

I was wondering if anyone new the value of this candy tin. It is dated 1937 from Harry Vincent Candy Ltd. in England. It is a candy tin commemorating the Queen Mother and her new husband on their first visit to Canada shortly after their wedding in 1937 and just shortly after him being announced to the throne as the King of England. This tin was given to me by my grandmother who was from England. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

We asked Ed Locke to respond:

This tin was a very popular souvenir in 1937 & many people saved them. Therefore they are relatively common and in very good condition sell for between $25.00 and $50.00.
